Driverless Transportation System steered by Web Cam

This project, carried out over the entire summer semester 2003, was a difficult project because it included ambitious programming for steering by web cam.
Two independent systems needed to be produced. Two teams (“FluXbox†and “TriTexâ€) were formed with eight members each. Because of the volume of the requirements and the necessary technical know how, the students had to outsource a subproject to some students of the department of Data Technology. So it was extremely necessary to define clear interfaces through consultation.

After the development phase the mechanical construction was generated based on AutoCAD. The next step was programming of essential workpieces on CNC milling machines and CNC lathes.

Mechanical and electrical components (Differential, Servo Motor)

Once this was finished both teams were divided into special sub teams so as to complete a variety of other tasks such as assembling the mechanical body, installing the electrical and electronic equipment and programming the microcontroller

Mini ITX Board

The projects are implemented using extensive project management to coordinate the multitude of activities within the specified time period to reach established objectives.
